Support an African Woman

Many women in Africa have been widowed or abandoned by their husbands with no sustainable means of support for her and her children. Go Ministries has partnered with PEFA Kimbo All Nations Gospel Church to help women break out of poverty by giving them the tools they need to start locally-based businesses. Church leaders identify women who are in need of help, but are willing to work. They work with these women to identify a viable business they can begin with a small investment. Where needed, the church leaders provide counsel and training to insure success. Some women are able to open a small vegetable market, some a kiosk to sell clothing, shoes or other merchandise, one is now a street vendor that fries fish to sell to passersby.
Depending on the circumstances, the woman is given an initial investment to purchase supplies and a second one to replenish her inventory. The second investment is made with the understanding she needs to take ownership of her business by investing her profits in future inventory. However, there are situations that necessitate additional assistance, but the goal is for the business to be sustainable and the woman self-sufficient. Your contribution helps to provide these women with the supplies, equipment, and/or the inventory they need to begin their business venture. Empowered as business owners, they have the opportunity to build their enterprises through their own hard work, they are able to meet their daily needs and raise capable, confident children who will break the cycle of generational poverty. Dress Makers and Tailors can be a profitable trade in most villages in Africa. However, purchasing a sewing machine is out of reach for the majority. Your contribution will allow us to purchase a sewing machine for a woman who has the ability to sew, but lacks the resources to make such a purchase.
